Joseph Yoder and I presented "Domain Modeling Meets GenAI: Turbo-Charging Agile from Domain to Deployment" in the industry and practice track of XP 2026, the International Conference on Agile Software Development, held at Insper in São Paulo in April 2026. We had given an earlier version at Agile Brazil and Scrum Rio in 2025.
The talk argues that generative AI is fast but produces confusion without a clear model of the business domain. Domain modelling gives it that structure. We showed how to use generative AI from the first informal sketches of a domain through to a refined model and deployment, and how it can support architecture decisions, code generation and the management of technical debt.
